Darion Knight, the owner and founder of Leaps & Bounds Mobile Gymnastics and Tumbling, began participating in gymnastics at the age of three. During his gymnastics career, Darion won state and regional championships and was the IHSA floor champion in 1993. Darion was also a member of the Junior National Developmental Team which allowed him to train at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Unfortunately, Darion had to quit gymnastics due to a serious injury to his shoulder. His love of the sport led him to begin coaching all levels of recreational and competitive gymnastics, and he has now been coaching for over 20 years. In 2012, he married his wife, Jillian, and together they started Leaps & Bounds Mobile Gymnastics and Tumbling with the goal of bringing the sport he loves to children in the Chicagoland area.
